San Francisco got a strong outing from Blake Snell as the Dragons defeated the Carolina Riptides, 3-1, at IBM Field. Brandon Walter closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The win elevated the Dragons to 29-20.

San Francisco took a 3-1 lead on Jorge Soler's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Soler hit in the top of the seventh, left Carolina pitcher Grant Holmes visibly frustrated.

"Blake was pounding the zone," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage.
