Titans Improve to 30-19 with 8-6 Win
|
Michael Massey did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the New York Sharks from being beaten, 8-6, to the Houston Titans at Shark Stadium. Massey went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Logan Allen. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Jordan Wicks collected his 3rd save.
Houston used a clutch at-bat from Marcell Ozuna to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Titans ahead, 7-4. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Ozuna, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
Houston has now won 4 games in a row.
