Demons Tuck Away 5-3 Win Over Texas
The Detroit Demons defeated the Texas Vipers, 5-3, in Federal League action at Pepsi Dome. Detroit pitcher David Peterson had a standout performance. Peterson got the win, improving to 7-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 5.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Demons, now 24-25, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

Detroit used a clutch at-bat from Giancarlo Stanton to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Demons ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Peterson called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
