The Denver Bears got a sterling performance from pitcher Seth Lugo, but the Toronto Hogs still prevailed, 3-1. Lugo threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Toronto reliever Abner Uribe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. A.J. Puk was saddled with the loss. The loss makes Denver 24-29.

Toronto used a timely hit from Chas McCormick to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hogs ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

In postgame remarks, McCormick applauded his team's "resolve."
