The Texas Vipers in 10 innings downed the Carolina Riptides, 7-6, at Pepsi Dome. Nico Hoerner led the way, going 5-for-6 for Texas. Reliever Connor Prielipp picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Chris Martin took the loss. The Vipers raised their record to 18-35.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Hoerner hit a sinker from Chris Martin for a run-scoring single. The Vipers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Hoerner.
