The Seattle Sting got a sterling performance from pitcher Jose Soriano, but the Portland Jaguars still prevailed, 1-0. Soriano threw 7.1 innings allowing 1 run. Bryan Hoeing picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jose Soriano suffered the loss. Jordan Romano locked down his 12th save.

Dominic Canzone, who is tied for 4th in the UL in hits with 64, took Seattle hurler Jose Soriano deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Jaguars on top, 1-0. In all, Canzone had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Canzone attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."

By defeating Seattle, the third-place Jaguars improved to 24-30.
