The Washington Hitmen weathered an outstanding game by New York catcher Ivan Herrera to topple the Sharks, 4-3. Herrera was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2. Dylan Ross, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The loss makes New York 24-30.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Geraldo Perdomo was at the plate when Washington scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Hitmen to go in front, 4-3.

"We'll kick back a while," said Perdomo, "and then get ready for the next one."
