Denver pitcher Brayan Bello had a large part in his team subduing the Carolina Riptides, 3-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Bello got the win, improving to 6-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. A.J. Puk notched his 11th save of the season.

The Bears got a big at-bat from left fielder Jonathan India. For the game, India was 1 for 3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Denver a 2-1 lead.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Bello.

Denver now sits at 26-29, while Carolina falls to 30-25.
