Wildcats Earn 4-2 Home Win
|
The Baltimore Wildcats picked up a win at Toyota Field, downing the Boston Minutemen, 4-2. On the mound for Baltimore was right-hander Zack Wheeler, who played a pivotal role in the win. Baltimore reliever Joe Kelly picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Tim Mayza took the loss. The loss makes Boston 25-31.
Baltimore took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Diego A Castillo hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Wildcats in front, 4-2.
Baltimore manager Joe Bubanj commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
