The Houston Titans beat the Detroit Demons, 6-5, in 11 innings, in part because of third baseman Sal Stewart. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Houston leads the Union League Central Division by 2½ games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Bryan De La Cruz in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 31-year old right-handed pitcher Mitch White to win the game for Houston. The home crowd went nuts.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," De La Cruz said.
