Fans watched the Texas Vipers and the New York Sharks fight to the finish.

The Texas Vipers topped the New York Sharks, 5-4, in Union League action at Shark Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Texas pitcher Quinn Priester. The Sharks, now 24-33, have lost 5 in a row.

Texas needed the clutch hitting of Brayan Rocchio to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vipers on top, 3-2. For the game, Rocchio had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We squandered some opportunities," said New York manager Nick Ruport.
