Josh Naylor was a major contributor to the 7-6 Boston win over Houston. The Minutemen first baseman hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The win belonged to Ben Joyce in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jordan Wicks took the loss for Houston. Picking up the save was fireballing left-hander Jose Alvarado.

It could have been a different outcome for Boston, had it not been for Alex Call, the 31-year old right fielder . Call contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Boston up, 5-4.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.

Boston is now 26-32, while Houston is 37-21.
