Minutemen Get Gritty, 3-2 Win
Boston Minutemen starter Michael King turned in a top-notch performance against the Houston Titans at New League Park. The result was a win for the Minutemen, 3-2. Boston reliever Tim Mayza picked up the win, raising his record to 3-5. Orion Kerkering was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Boston at 27-32, while Houston falls to 37-22.

Alek Thomas, who finished 5th in the FL in extra base hits with 67 in 2023, had a direct impact on the outcome. Thomas contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Boston up, 3-2.

"Michael's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said Boston manager Tony Byrne.
