Cincinnati Defeated by Toronto, 6-2
|
Toronto Hogs starter Dustin May kept the Cincinnati Stars hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The victory gives Toronto a record of 35-24.
In the bottom of the fifth, Toronto designated hitter Christian Yelich had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and no one out, Yelich stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Toronto. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Toronto skipper Anthony Cepparulo.
