Andrew Heaney, who finished 2nd in the UL in innings pitched with 209.2 in 2021, was terrific for the Detroit Demons in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Montreal PoorBoys. His performance earned Heaney rave reviews. Detroit is now 30-30, Montreal 22-38.

Ozzie Albies, who finished 2nd in the FL in wins above replacement with 7.9 in 2020, had a direct impact on the outcome. Albies contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Detroit up, 3-1.

"Andrew was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Detroit manager Marc Buffington.
