Gore Deals Chicago 4-0 Setback
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Tampa Bay Bandits and Chicago Explorers were able to complete their ballgame.
The Tampa Bay Bandits picked up a win at Tony Gwynn Memorial Field, downing the Chicago Explorers, 4-0. On the mound for Tampa Bay was left-hander MacKenzie Gore, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Bandits have an impressive 38-23 record.
Gore's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 7.1 innings while allowing 1 hit. Gore, who leads the FL in innings pitched with 79.0, goes to 8-3 on the year with 89 strikeouts.
"We have a lot of confidence in MacKenzie," said Tampa Bay manager George Hoffman.
