Carpenter Hits 2 home runs in Sting Win
Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Kerry Carpenter, who finished 4th in the UL in hits with 182 last year, the Seattle Sting defeated the San Francisco Dragons, 7-1. Seattle pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the win, upping his record to 6-4. Shohei Ohtani got the loss. With the win, Seattle pushed its record to 35-26.

With Seattle leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Carpenter hit a curveball from Bryse Wilson for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Sting ahead, 7-1.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Carpenter.
