The Detroit Demons defeated the New York Sharks, 3-0, in Federal League action at Detroit Park. Detroit pitcher Clay Holmes had a standout performance. Devin Williams was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 17 save opportunities. After today's action, Detroit sits at 31-31, while New York falls to 25-37.

Detroit took a 1-0 lead on Ozzie Albies's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Albies hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Bryan Hudson visibly frustrated.

Albies attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
