Texas starter Reese Olson pitched well against the Los Angeles Spirit at Nike Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2, in 10 innings. Texas reliever Evan Phillips picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Ronny Henriquez absorbed the loss. Bryan Baker, credited with the save, is now 5 for 7 in save opportunities.

Texas needed the clutch hitting of Jackson Chourio to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Vipers on top, 3-2. For the game, Chourio had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Reese was in attack mode the whole game," said Texas manager Pete Seto.

Texas now sits at 26-37, while Los Angeles falls to 31-32.
