Griffin Leads Toronto Past Chicago
|
The Toronto Hogs got a stellar effort from pitcher Foster Griffin, helping Toronto score a win over the visiting Chicago Explorers, 5-2. The Explorers, at 19-19, have lost 4 straight games.
Griffin allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 7.1 innings for the Hogs. With the win, he is 5-1 with an ERA of 2.94.
Toronto manager Anthony Cepparulo was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
