Phalanx 3-1 Winners Versus Houston
|
Philadelphia right fielder Mike Yastrzemski was a significant contributor in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Houston Titans. He went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk for the Phalanx. Garrett Whitlock collected his 1st save. Today's win puts Philadelphia at 17-21, while Houston falls to 22-16.
Manny Machado had a big 2-run home run for the Phalanx in the bottom of the third inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from J.P. France, who leads the UL in wins with 5, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Phalanx on top, 3-0.
Machado said his team "played with determination."
