The Denver Bears got a good effort from starter Brayan Bello in defeating the Baltimore Wildcats at Coors Field. The final score was 8-2. In 6.2 innings, Bello surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Denver is now 18-22, while Baltimore is 16-24.

The Wildcats had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Bears going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the four-time All-Star Carlos Correa came to the plate. Correa hit a 3-run home run on a 1-2 fastball from Baltimore hurler Gerrit Cole. It was Correa's 7th home run of the year.

"We took it on the chin tonight," said losing manager Joe Bubanj.
