Jack Leiter, who is tied for 10th in the UL in innings pitched with 48.1, had a strong outing for the Bronx Bombers against the Cincinnati Stars at Magnum Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-0 win. Leiter, now 4-1, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing no runs. The loss makes Cincinnati 24-16.

Randal Grichuk dealt the Stars a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Bronx leading 1-0, Grichuk, who is a two-time All-Star, hit a 1-1 changeup for a 2-run single.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Leiter.
