With second baseman Owen Miller leading the charge, the Houston Titans defeated the Oakland Roses, 6-4, at New League Park. Miller, who is tied for 9th in the UL in doubles with 12, was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tomoyuki Sugano picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-1. He struck out 5 in 5.1 innings. Orion Kerkering earned the save, his 8th, for the Titans.

The Titans got a big at-bat from left fielder Nathan Lukes. For the game, Lukes went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 10th double of the season gave Houston a 3-1 lead.

"I like our moxie," said Titans manager Stephen Strzepek.

Houston is now 24-16, Oakland 28-12.
