Minutemen Earn 5-4 Win Versus PoorBoys
|
The Boston Minutemen faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Kutter Crawford, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fenway Park by a final score of 5-4. Crawford went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Beau Brieske in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Edwin Uceta took the loss. The Minutemen improved their record to 17-24 with the win over Montreal.
Jonah Heim was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Minutemen catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place was electric at the end," Heim said.
