Stars Deal Bronx 7-4 Defeat
|
The Cincinnati Stars locked up a win at Magnum Stadium, knocking off the Bronx Bombers, 7-4. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Ben Brown. He played a major role in the triumph. Brown picked up the win for Cincinnati, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. With the win, the Stars have a record of 25-16.
Cincinnati won the game in part because of Pete Crow-Armstrong. The center fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stars ahead, 4-0. For the game, Crow-Armstrong had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Brown said.
