Sluggers Sneak Past Spirit, 2-1
The St Louis Sluggers topped the Los Angeles Spirit, 2-1, in Federal League action at Busch Stadium. The standout performance belonged to St Louis pitcher and Moca, Dominican Republic, native Freddy Peralta. The setback makes Los Angeles 22-19.

The decisive blow was delivered by Harrison Bader in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 22-year old right-handed pitcher JR Ritchie to win the game for St Louis. The home crowd went nuts.

"The Sluggers earned it," said Los Angeles manager Bobby Kirkpatrick. "Hats off to them."
