PoorBoys 4-3 Victors Over Pittsburgh
|
Montreal designated hitter Isaac Paredes was a significant contributor in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Pittsburgh Ironmen. He went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the PoorBoys. Felix Bautista locked down his 7th save. The PoorBoys now have a record of 16-27 with the win over Pittsburgh.
Paredes had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Andres Munoz, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the PoorBoys a 4-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Paredes.
Pittsburgh manager Ryan Morneau said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
