Sluggers Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
The St Louis Sluggers downed the Washington Hitmen, 5-4, in 11 innings at RFK Stadium. Carlos Perez led the way, going 3-for-5 for St Louis. Packy Naughton claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-1. With the win, St Louis upped its record to 22-21.

Perez had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 1-2 sinker from Adrian Morejon, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Sluggers a 5-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Perez.

Perez said his team "played with focus and determination."
