Titans Win Nail-Biter
|
The Houston Titans overcame a pretty good performance by Cincinnati center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, beating the Stars, 5-4, at Great American Ball Park. Crow-Armstrong went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The victory gives the Titans a record of 26-18.
Houston used the timely hitting of Grant McCray to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Titans on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Titans manager Stephen Strzepek.
