The Texas Vipers topped the Portland Jaguars, 7-5, at Chrysler Canyon. Texas second baseman Brayan Rocchio was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Steven Okert in relief, making him now 1-1. Chris Bassitt took the loss for Portland. Bryan Baker earned the save, his 3rd.

Caracas, Venezuela native Brayan Rocchio had a clutch at-bat in the top of the eighth for the Vipers. With Texas trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Rocchio.

The victory makes Texas 14-29.
