Riptides Get Hard-Earned Win
The New York Sharks and Carolina Riptides provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Carolina Riptides overcame a good performance by New York center fielder Cody Bellinger to knock off New York, 7-6, at Shark Stadium. Bellinger went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The victory gives Carolina a record of 25-19.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Kyle Stowers? The Carolina right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Riptides on top, 7-6. For the game, Stowers had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
