Starting pitcher Jameson Taillon was a major factor in the 3-2 St Louis Sluggers triumph over the Washington Hitmen. The Sluggers lead the Federal League Central Division by 2½ games.

The Sluggers got a big at-bat from right fielder Jordan Walker. For the game, Walker went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave St Louis a 3-1 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Walker.
