Not everyone stuck through the 15-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Garrett Mitchell was a major factor in the 8-4 Portland win over Texas. The Jaguars center fielder went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. The loss makes Texas 14-30.

Wilmer Flores had a big bases-clearing double for the Jaguars in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Portland leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Mick Abel, who is the 7th-best prospect in the Vipers organization, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jaguars ahead, 8-2.

"Good, blue-collar kind of win," said Jaguars manager Darren Meserve.
