Demons Suffer 7-3 Road Loss
The Minnesota Millers racked up a win at Target Field, bumping off the Detroit Demons, 7-3. Justin Steele, who started for Minnesota, pitched effectively for his team. Steele, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Jhoan Duran locked down his 11th save.

James Wood had a big 2-run home run for the Millers in the bottom of the third inning. With Minnesota leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Michael McGreevy and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Millers on top, 3-0.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Steele.

The win puts Minnesota at 27-19 this season.
