Sluggers Rally Late to Clip Anaheim
|
The St Louis Sluggers had to overcome a fine effort from Anaheim pitcher Tyler Glasnow to win, 4-3, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Glasnow went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Packy Naughton in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Tyler Glasnow took the loss. The loss makes Anaheim 20-26.
St Louis needed the clutch hitting of Harrison Bader to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Sluggers on top, 2-1. For the game, Bader had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bader told the St Louis News.
