Sluggers Win, 4-1, Versus Anaheim
|
St Louis starter Cristopher Sanchez put a stranglehold on the Anaheim offense. The left-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Sluggers to a 4-1 win. The win for the Sluggers lifted their record to 25-22.
St Louis needed the clutch hitting of Jordan Walker to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sluggers on top, 4-1. For the game, Walker had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"I'm happy we won," said Sanchez. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
