Wallner, Melton Swap Teams Thursday, May 28th , 2026 Earlier today, officials from the New York Sharks and the Phoenix Firebirds announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 28-year old RF Matt Wallner to Phoenix in exchange for 25-year old minor league CF Jacob Melton, 24-year old minor league LHP Ixan Henderson, and 22-year old minor league RF Max Belyeu. During the current season Wallner is batting at a .253 clip with 7 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 46 games and scored 22 times. |
