Hartford Halts Fernandez's Hitting Steak Sunday, May 17th , 2026 Jose Miguel Fernandez's 23-game hitting streak was snapped at Samurai Ballpark. The 38-year-old Oklahoma City Outlaws designated hitter failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game against the Hartford Hillcats, but Oklahoma City came out the winner, 7-6. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Jose Miguel," Outlaws manager said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." Thus far this year, Fernandez has hit .394 with 6 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
