Providence's Vargas Injured, Out of Lineup Thursday, May 28th , 2026 The season is finished for Miguel Vargas of the Providence Friars. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Friars third baseman suffered a broken bone in the elbow while running the bases in a recent game against the Springdale Naturals. Team doctors said it would take at least 8 months to heal. In 13 games this year, Vargas has posted a .325 average and put up these numbers: 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored. |
