Ralphy Velazquez was at the head of a Hawaii Typhoon hit parade at Hawaii Fields. The 21-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Albuquerque Sidewinders that marched off with the 9-6 win.

"We didn't have it today," griped Typhoon skipper following the game. "Ralphy did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."

Velazquez did more than fine, dominating the Sidewinders at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance.

"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging catcher told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

Ralphy Velazquez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bubba Chandler in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Velazquez is hitting .329 for the season with 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 167 at-bats and played in 41 games.
