August's Best Hurler in PCL is Bido

When Osvaldo Bido takes the hill, chances are good for a Sacramento victory. At least that's the way it was in May.
He excelled with a 4-0 mark and 2.23 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 32.1 innings, fanned 16 and held others clubs to a .217 average.
That's why the A's star was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Pacific Coast League.
In 17 starts this season, Bido has recorded a 8-3 record and a 4.68 ERA.

PCL Best Hitter Award to Portland's CJ Kayfus

It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 24 CJ Kayfus has a lot of baseball ahead of him.
But for now the young Portland Blaze star can enjoy the numbers he put up in August, which have garnered him the nod as the Pacific Coast League Batter of the Month.
His breakout month featured a .387 average with 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
For the year, Kayfus has hit .319 with 19 home runs, 75 RBIs and scored 92 runs.
