Great Stroke: Barker Gets 5 Hits
5 hits in a game is generally considered a noteworthy achievement, but for Jack Barker, it felt rather hollow.

The 20-year-old went 5-for-7 at the plate at Gainesville Grounds, but his Vero Beach Blue Angels fell to the Gainesville Gators, 12-11.

"It's hard to get too excited," the left fielder told BNN following the game. "After a game like this, everyone's quiet and they just want to go home."

Jack Barker hit a two-run double in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and hit a three-run home run off Yovanny Cruz in the 12th.

In the current season, Barker has put up a .354 batting average with 40 hits, 6 home runs, 30 runs batted in and scored 19 runs.
