Dunedin Clinches Postseason Appearance

Team owner The owner of the Dunedin Danger said he was "proud and excited" for his players and coaches, after the Dunedin Danger officially secured a playoff berth.
"This is what you play for, to try to bring a championship to Dunedin," he said. "The guys are well on their way."
The Florida State League North club's record currently sits at 73-61.

August's #1 Hurler Announced: Warren Wins Award

The Florida State League presented the Pitcher of the Month Award. It went to bullpen ace Austin Warren of Dunedin for his outstanding work on the mound.
During the month, the Danger star had 10 saves in 10 save opportunities, a 1.84 ERA and no wins and no losses. In 14.2 innings Warren struck out 20 and gave up 10 hits and 5 walks.
So far this year, Warren has made 16 relief appearances with 12 saves, thrown 16.2 innings and struck out 21 with a 0-0 record.

FSL Honors Cancel, Best Hitter in August

Gabriel Cancel put together a good August to earn the Florida State League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Vero Beach officials that he belongs on the big league roster.
The Blue Angels third baseman posted a .330 batting average with 11 home runs, 42 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
Thus far this season in 60 games, Cancel is batting .328 with 20 home runs, 83 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 80 hits in 244 at-bats.
