Cesarini Gets 7 Hits
Ryan Cesarini was at the head of a St. Lucie hit parade at Catfish Ballpark. The right fielder went to the plate 7 times and came away with 7 hits, sparking the Sand Gnats to a nice 14-5 victory over the Lakeland Catfish.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Cesarini told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Catfish skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Ryan Cesarini singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This year, Cesarini has hit at a .333 pace and produced 16 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 38 runs.
