Briceno Pounds 3 HR Sunday, May 10th , 2026 Josue Briceno brutalized the New Orleans Greys pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 14-10 Omaha victory at Diamonds Ballpark. The Omaha Rangers catcher was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Josue Briceno today," Greys manager said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Josue Briceno hit a two-run home run off Parker Messick in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Brandon Waddell in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Walter Pennington in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season, Briceno has gotten 27 hits in 82 at-bats for a .329 batting average with 9 home runs. His stats include 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 20 games. |
