McAdoo Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Portland
Wednesday, May 13th , 2026
The Hawaii Typhoon lost to the Portland Blaze, 11-0, at Hawaii Fields, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Charles McAdoo's 25-game hitting streak. The third baseman went 0-for-3 on the day.
"We felt if we could slow down McAdoo, we would win the game," Blaze manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down."
In 27 games this season, McAdoo has compiled a .364 batting average with 39 hits and 4 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 16 runs.
