Salinas Stops Brito Hit Streak
Wednesday, May 20th , 2026
The 20-game hitting streak is over.

Mississauga Trappers second baseman Juan Brito failed to get a hit against the Salinas Storm and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 24-year-old went 0-for-5 in his club's 7-4 victory over the Storm at Storm Ballpark.

"I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."

Looking at his stats this year, Brito has compiled a .310 batting average, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 17 runs. He has played in 34 games and scored 19 runs.
