Pozo Cracks 3 HRs for Trenton Saturday, May 23rd , 2026 Yohel Pozo went on an explosive hitting spree against the Plattsburgh Beacons at Beacons Ballpark, launching a trio of blasts to help the Trenton Thunder win, 7-5. The catcher finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Pozo said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Plattsburgh skipper said Pozo was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Yohel Pozo hit a solo-shot off Brody Hopkins in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Brody Hopkins in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Logan Evans in the 6th and grounded out in the 9th. This season in 12 games, Pozo has hit at a .304 clip with 17 hits, 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
