Quebec-Reading Fight Results in Suspensions Friday, May 29th , 2026 After an intense confrontation, both the Castors Kodey Shojinaga and the Roughnecks Jayden Murray were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Quebec-Reading game. Kodey Shojinaga will miss 4 games, while Jayden Murray was suspended for 2 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Kodey Shojinaga commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Thus far this season, Shojinaga has hit .421 with no home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 2 times. Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Murray has 16 relief appearances, pitched 18.2 innings and fashioned a 2-0 record with a 2.41 ERA. He has recorded 8 saves, struck out 23 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .176 when he is on the hill. |
